High-speed processing accuracy of the new fiber laser will reduce lead times by cutting metal 3X faster than traditional CO2 lasers. The fiber laser also features non-clamping edges for better sheet utilization, superior fiber laser finish, and tighter tolerances than CO2.
To accompany the new fiber laser, UPM also installed a new 48in. Arku Leveler and a 36in. Timesaver. This equipment ensures gently deburred, flat, and stress-free parts.
UPM's line of high-strength, high-temperature, and corrosion-resistant materials provide quality solutions that support a variety of industries, including aerospace, fastener, medical, power generation, oil and gas, semiconductor, and many others.
