Bystronic has reached an acquisition agreement with Swiss automation technology company Isochronic AG. Isochronic specializes in high-speed robotic sorting systems and software development for sheet metal processing. Following the acquisition, Isochronic will continue to operate independently under its existing brand.

The acquisition will further strengthen Bystronic's automation portfolio and support its ongoing strategy of delivering integrated manufacturing solutions, bringing customers greater production efficiency, enhanced production flexibility, and improved operational performance.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered near Lausanne, Switzerland, Isochronic focuses on advanced synchronous pick-and-place robotics technology for automated material handling and sorting. Its core technology combines innovative robotic kinematics with a proprietary software platform, enabling high-speed, high-payload automated sorting for laser cutting applications and providing strong support for further advancing automation in sheet metal processing lines.

Isochronic's technology will further expand Bystronic's capabilities in automated sorting of sheet metal in various formats, while bringing advanced software architecture and specialized robotics expertise to Bystronic's automation solutions. Leveraging Bystronic's extensive experience in industrial manufacturing and its global business footprint, the two parties will further drive the development and large-scale application of Isochronic's related technologies. This collaboration will also accelerate the development of next-generation automation solutions, providing more comprehensive solutions for customers seeking to build highly automated production environments.
