Dogain Optoelectronic, Grace Laser File Dual IPOs to Tap Capital Markets

On June 30, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) accepted listing applications from two leading hard-tech enterprises in the laser industry in a single day. The ChiNext IPO of Dogain Optoelectronic Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and the STAR Market IPO of Beijing Grace Laser Technology Co., Ltd. have both entered the review phase.
Combined, the two companies plan to raise nearly 4 billion RMB, focusing on two critical upstream segments — semiconductor photonic chips and devices, and ultrafast high-energy lasers. Their growth will help address gaps in China’s domestic laser industry chain and support self-reliant breakthroughs across strategic sectors including semiconductor manufacturing, industrial processing, controlled nuclear fusion, quantum technology and aerospace.
Dogain Optoelectronic: ChiNext IPO Accepted
Dogain Optoelectronic specializes in the R&D and production of high-power, high-reliability photonic chips and devices. For its ChiNext debut, the company aims to raise 2.804 billion RMB, which will be allocated to building production lines for semiconductor photonic chips and devices, single-mode optoelectronic modules and high-power pump modules, as well as expanding and upgrading its R&D and testing center.
Laser photonic chips are fundamental core components in industrial manufacturing, 6G communications, quantum technology and controlled nuclear fusion — fields that have long faced critical technological bottlenecks. Drawing on years of technical accumulation, Dogain Optoelectronic has achieved domestic localization of its full product portfolio, with business spanning industrial processing, optical communications, automotive LiDAR, 3D printing, quantum technology, controlled nuclear fusion and aerospace.

On the customer front, Dogain Optoelectronic has entered the supply chains of domestic and global industry leaders including Trumpf, Han's Laser, Bosch and Bambu Lab. Its telecom-grade 980nm single-mode optoelectronic modules are already in mass supply to Accelink Technologies. In frontier scientific research, its products are delivered in volume to inertial confinement fusion facilities, and support R&D innovation at quantum technology firms such as Jiuzhang Quantum and Preci Lasers. Its research partners include top-tier institutions such as Tsinghua University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The company is also advancing new heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) storage technology, evolving from a commercial component supplier into a core technology force serving national strategic priorities.
Grace Laser: STAR Market IPO Accepted
Also heading for the capital markets on the same day, Grace Laser focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of ultrafast lasers and high-energy lasers. For its STAR Market listing, the company plans to raise 1.161 billion RMB to build two major production bases and R&D centers in Beijing and Xi'an.
According to public filings, Grace Laser has mastered core technologies in fiber-solid seed sources, multi-stage amplification and nonlinear frequency conversion. Its picosecond and femtosecond ultrafast lasers, as well as high-energy pulsed lasers, have broken the long-standing market monopoly held by European, American and Japanese firms. Its ultrafast lasers deliver multi-band output from infrared to deep ultraviolet with peak power reaching 300W, while its high-energy lasers achieve up to 80J of combined energy via dual-beam synthesis — placing its domestically developed technology firmly among the industry's first tier globally.
Riding the wave of semiconductor domestic substitution, Grace Laser has strategically entered the chip manufacturing sector. Its products support critical front-end and back-end chip processes including wafer inspection, laser annealing, wafer stealth dicing, lithography target measurement, debonding and Through-Glass Via (TGV) processing. The company counts leading semiconductor players such as Skyverse Technology, Jingce Electronics and U-precision Tech among its clients, and its products are also exported overseas.
Since 2024, semiconductor business has become Grace Laser's largest revenue segment, with its growth potential continuing to unfold. Beyond semiconductors, its laser products serve national defense and military applications as well as university research projects. The company has also proactively positioned itself in the controlled nuclear fusion clean energy track, leveraging its ultra-high-energy pulsed laser technology to seize first-mover advantage in the future energy industry.
As overseas technology export controls continue to tighten, domestic localization of upstream laser components — including photonic chips and high-end lasers — has become critical to securing the safety of the industrial supply chain.
With their IPO filings now submitted, both Dogain Optoelectronic and Grace Laser are set to leverage the capital markets to expand production capacity and iterate on frontier technologies. Each company strengthens China's domestic laser industry chain from a different angle — one from the chip side, the other from the laser side — filling gaps in core upstream components. Together, they support China's drive toward self-reliance in frontier industries including industrial upgrading, semiconductor breakthroughs, future energy and quantum technology, and propel high-quality, leapfrog development of the country's optoelectronic hard-tech sector.
