Early 2026 has seen a wave of new entities emerge in the laser and related sectors, forming a “new force matrix”.
Leading players represented by Han’s Laser, DR Laser and Strong Laser have successively launched subsidiaries or investment arms, covering emerging fields including intelligent technology and photonic new energy, driving the industrial chain toward greater diversification.
Meanwhile, these laser companies are accelerating their gradient transfer to central and western China. Han’s Laser has established its Southwest Headquarters in Chongqing, while Optowide Technology is building its Zhengzhou base — both moves to deepen market penetration by leveraging regional cost advantages.
1.New Laser Companies Surge: Industrial Expansion Fueled by Capital
From February to March 2026, frequent new company registrations and strategic investment activities have emerged in the laser industry, characterized by intensive capital inflows and diversified layout. Single investments range from 35 million yuan to 100 million yuan, reflecting steadily growing corporate confidence in the future market.
On March 9, Optowide Technology invested 35 million yuan to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Zhengzhou. DR Laser launched an investment platform with a 100-million-yuan capital contribution in February 2026. On March 11, Han’s Laser founded an intelligent technology firm and invested 500 million yuan to build its Southwest Headquarters.
Moreover, new ventures are no longer limited to traditional equipment manufacturing, but expanding into investment platforms, intelligent technology, photonic new energy and other diversified fields.
On February 18, SK Automation Technology established Photon New Energy (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., whose business scope includes artificial intelligence and engineering research, embodying the integration trend of laser enterprises and emerging technologies.
2. Layout Deepens: Strategic Shift from Coastal to Inland Regions
The regional footprint of laser enterprises is expanding from the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta deeper into central and western China. On March 6, 2026, Han’s Laser signed to settle in Dadukou District, Chongqing, investing 500 million yuan to build its Southwest Headquarters, targeting the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
Optowide Technology selected the Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone for its manufacturing base, drawn by local strengths in human resources, labor costs and geographic transportation.
Meanwhile, Uniwin Laser has set up subsidiaries one after another in Guizhou, Yunnan, Fujian, Jiangxi and other central/western provinces, gradually expanding its national service network.
With the deepening of national strategies such as the Chengdu-Chongqing regional development and the Rise of Central China, laser enterprises are shortening logistics cycles and speeding up customer response via localized deployment, injecting "light-powered momentum" into the manufacturing transformation and upgrading of central and western China.
